4 weeks left! Yikes! I can't believe it. I know I start my blogs out by saying this almost every week but really the closer it gets to my due date the more I am shocked at how soon it's coming. Looking back on the past year, time has flown by. It didn't feel that way at the time but it seems like yesterday I was taking a pregnancy test...I am sure it will continue this way even after she is born.
Yesterday we had my 36 week ultrasound to see how baby is doing. We haven't had an US since 21'ish weeks so Jimmy and I were excited to see how much bigger she is now! Unfortunately she was acting stubborn and kept her face down so we couldn't get a good 3D picture. Bummer. But as the US tech told us, we will see her soon enough. SO true!
Dr measured my cervix to see if I was dilated at all (OUCH) and I am only 1/2 centimeter but she says that's normal. Baby girl is measuring at 6 pounds so they think she could be around 8 when born. So as the Dr said right now everything is on track and it's just a waiting game.
I am feeling okay. Just when I think I can't get more uncomfortable, I do. LOL. My feet and hands are still super swollen but the Dr assured me yesterday it's just a part of the process and no signs of preeclampsia or anything serious. Blood pressure has remained the same the entire pregnancy. Wish I could say the same for the LBs but the water weight is contributing there as well. I am at around 32 pounds now which I am okay with...like I said to Jimmy yesterday at this point I am almost done so it is what it is.
Since my last post I had 3 more baby showers. Wow is this girl (meaning me and baby) blessed! My amazing mother-in-law threw me a sailing themed shower. She did such a good job and so many unique touches! I was blown away. I had four of my best friends throw me a shower as well complete with a candy bar and amazing cupcakes. YUM! And two of my other dear friends threw me a shower that had such good food and such cute details like a welcome sign chalk board on arrival. Seriously, I feel so lucky to have such great friends and family in my life and I never once take it for granted. So thank you to all of you. I am extremely humbled and blown away at all the love and generosity you have shown us.
Around the house we had my parents come over and help completely re-organize the storage room which looks so much better. Again, so thankful! We also bought a new TV stand that fits much better in our family room and with our TV.
This weekend is going to be about relaxing and I'm sure a couple more house projects. :) I will leave you with some pictures from the past two weeks.
Love,
Kristin
