Baby H - Week 25

Here we are, week 25! It's pretty surreal to think I only have 15 weeks left! Time has really flown by! The summer seems like it is already filled up with events every weekend. Which makes me think she is going to be here before I know it...

This week I was able to have another US so they could measure the umbilical cord to the abdomen. I was so thankful we were able to see our baby girl again. We got a great picture of her and we can actually see what she looks like which is unbelievable! She kept yawning and putting her hands over her face but we did get a few good shots. I can't wait to see her in person. I included a picture below- sorry to those who get freaked out by these...this will be the only one I post, promise.

I passed my gestational diabetes test on the first try... phew! I am so glad I don't need to worry about that. I think I will celebrate with some skittles... :)

Last weekend my friend Kara and I threw a baby shower for our dear friend Alyssa who is due in 3-4 weeks from now. I can't believe how fast her pregnancy went. Seems like yesterday she told me she was expecting. We can't wait to meet her baby boy and have more baby friends. So many kiddos now!

I have been feeling pretty good. I am still fighting a cold that has lasted two weeks but I am definitely on the up and up. Sleeping has been good and bad... I have noticed some hip pain at night but other nights I am fine. My blood pressure was great at the Dr and I am sitting between a 14-16 pound weight gain which I am fine with. I am hoping to stay under 30 this pregnancy but we will see. I have been trying to walk 4 days a week at least but last week the rain didn't help. Plus, I noticed about 10 minutes after I leave the house I have to pee... this is going to get tricky and I really would rather not knock on a strangers door to use the bathroom. :)

Baby girl has been kicking up a storm. I am noticing a pattern and she is very active at night between 9:00 - 10:00PM. I hope this isn't a sign of what's to come. I also was able to see her moving from outside my belly, very cool!

I want to say thank you to all the friends and family have sent us gifts lately. There has been an outpouring of love on Jimmy and I and our baby girl. She is being spoiled so much already! And we love it! We are beyond blessed!!!

Next Dr appointment is in 4 weeks and I will be officially in the 3rd trimester! Can't wait!

Love,
Kristin

Look at all the clothes she has been spoiled with already... Mostly from Grandma Cook! :)

Grandpa Jim and Grandma Kelly bought our baby girl her first boat shoes!
I ordered these bows from Etsy, love them!

Baby H - Week 23

Since we announced we are having a baby girl it's been so fun to refer to the baby as SHE! It really makes it feel more real.

We have been going back and forth on names but found two we love and we decided to wait and see what she looks like. I sometimes wish I could call her by name now but I figure once we see that beautiful face we will know for certain.

This week our baby girl has been moving much more! I get super nervous when I don't feel her some days but I know it's still early on. But on Sunday night I was laying in bed and she was kicking up a storm. I had Jimmy come and put his hand on my belly to see if he can feel and he felt her kick twice! I of course teared up. Man, I thought I was emotional before getting pregnant. This crying thing is out of control. So thankful I am feeling her more now!

We conducted multiple daycare tours and decided on one down the road and  paid our registration fee. So glad that's checked off our to do list. We also decided on a pediatrician we are very happy with. She is so nice and I feel really good about that. I also finished updating my registry online. I mostly wanted to do it to keep me organized and to know what I need before and after she comes.

Other than that I have been in major nesting mode - organizing the house like crazy. We need to figure out our closet situation. Right now Jimmy has all his clothes in the guestroom (soon to be nursery) closet. And all of my clothes are in our master bedroom. We need to combine somehow. Time to get rid of some clothes and make room for baby!

We are looking forward to May 20th when we have a 2nd ultrasound (so excited we are able to do that) and to see how much she has grown even more.

Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing mom's out there including mine who is my best friend, my rock and a true example of the Mom I want to be someday!

Love,
Kristin
