We are on to solids!

It seems every time I turn around Adalyn is conquering a new milestone. This time it has been eating solid foods. I was hesitant to start solids because I was mainly unsure what I was doing and I didn't want to force them on Adalyn. But after MANY signs (grabbing for our food, bored with bottles, etc.) we knew she was ready. So we gave it a shot!

Jimmy and I were like two children excited on Christmas morning getting the food ready. We debated who would spoon feed her first. I pulled out the always winning argument of, "I carried her for 10 months so I should get to" and it was settled. LOL... in the end we both took turns. It was SO fun to watch her reaction.

We have been giving her oatmeal cereal every night after daycare before bed and continuing with her night time bottle. It has been helping her sleep better for sure. (Except last night - that's a whole other battle I won't even care to remember through my zombie daze today.)

Here are some more pics of Adalyn eating and playing in her highchair...

My Mom says this looks like me the first time I got behind the wheel. I would have to agree!

Adalyn also cut her first tooth. Such a big girl! That explains the constant drooling and sucking on teething rings!

She is very close to sitting on her own. Can't wait until she is able to. She is so ready and I really don't think it will be long before she crawls. Next week she is 6 months and I fall in love with her more every day.

I leave you with some videos of the sweet baby girl. :)

Love,
Kristin
