6 month pictures

We had some professional pictures taken of Adalyn and our family. I wanted to share them as they are so precious of my baby girl. :)

Some updates around the Horan home...Adalyn's second tooth has popped through and it looks like the teeth on the top are coming soon. The biggest news of all...and I can't believe I am typing this...but Adalyn is sleeping through the night! Praise the Lord!

Here are some pictures of my beautiful baby girl.

Adalyn Grace - 6 Months

Adalyn turned 6 months last week. And I am certain she just went from a baby to a little girl.

Here is my precious little baby who is looking far too grown up!

The weather has been SO nice lately! I can't wait for summer to come. We have enjoyed many family walks and Adalyn is finally starting to go to bed later which is so nice. The 6:00 bed time was so hard on me and Jimmy as we didn't get much time with her in the week. So lately we have been putting her down around 7:00/7:30. Last week Adalyn got her 2nd ear infection. No fun but she is feeling much better with the medicine we have her on. She is about to cut her second tooth as well.

Last weekend Adalyn had some "father-daughter time" as I went out of town. Words can't explain how much I missed my little girl. The night before I left, I sobbed rocking her to bed and of course I cried when I held her coming home on Sunday. But Jimmy had a great time with her and I was glad they were able to have that special time together.

We spent Sunday relaxing on our deck, and Jimmy cooked us a nice meal. We fed Adalyn on the deck outside and relaxed in the sun.

I think she enjoyed it...

Adalyn's Likes:
People, people, people. Nothing new there...
Sleeping on her tummy
Faces
Our doggies, she laughs at them all the time
Bottles - her appetite is enormous (I can't keep up!)
Her high chair and oatmeal every night
Baths, splashing
Walks outside
Her new talking dog toy

Adalyn's Dislikes:
Green beans (don't blame her too much)
Formula (tried it once and she spit it out)
Naps during the day
Mom cleaning up her boogies and washing her face

Love,
Kristin

We are on to solids!

It seems every time I turn around Adalyn is conquering a new milestone. This time it has been eating solid foods. I was hesitant to start solids because I was mainly unsure what I was doing and I didn't want to force them on Adalyn. But after MANY signs (grabbing for our food, bored with bottles, etc.) we knew she was ready. So we gave it a shot!

Jimmy and I were like two children excited on Christmas morning getting the food ready. We debated who would spoon feed her first. I pulled out the always winning argument of, "I carried her for 10 months so I should get to" and it was settled. LOL... in the end we both took turns. It was SO fun to watch her reaction.

We have been giving her oatmeal cereal every night after daycare before bed and continuing with her night time bottle. It has been helping her sleep better for sure. (Except last night - that's a whole other battle I won't even care to remember through my zombie daze today.)

Here are some more pics of Adalyn eating and playing in her highchair...

My Mom says this looks like me the first time I got behind the wheel. I would have to agree!

Adalyn also cut her first tooth. Such a big girl! That explains the constant drooling and sucking on teething rings!

She is very close to sitting on her own. Can't wait until she is able to. She is so ready and I really don't think it will be long before she crawls. Next week she is 6 months and I fall in love with her more every day.

I leave you with some videos of the sweet baby girl. :)

Love,
Kristin
