Jimmy and I decided to forgo any genetic testing early on so that brings a lot of questions and nerves for our appointment. I am just praying and trusting God that he made our baby PERFECT and He has a plan for his/her life! Either way, nerves are hard to shake. I am trying to pass the time and not think about it too much and just focus on the excitement about finding out the gender. :)
We decided to have our family over to reveal the gender with everyone together. So we are buying a cake with blue or pink filling to have for dessert. I know this has been done before but we thought it would be a nice way to have a relaxed evening with a surprise at the end. Now I just hope I don't slip and refer to Baby H as a he or she between the 22nd and our dinner party! It will definitely be hard.
I have been feeling good. My appetite for protein has come back. Eggs still don't sit well but we grilled steak the other night when it was 70 degrees and I actually enjoyed it! Bagels and bread and sweets are still my downfall! Trying to keep that in check -- doesn't help to have Easter around the corner and candy overload at my favorite store Target. Starbursts jeally beans - OMG so good! I am still sitting at about a 6-8 pound weight gain - fluctuates every day (I am blaming these jelly beans, I tell you they are life changing!) :)
Next post we will be revealing the gender! Can't wait to call our baby a "he" or "she" instead of "it!"
Love,
Kristin
